Design engineering combines two very different disciplines: the Art of Design and the Science of Engineering. All good mechanical solutions must evolve through stringent engineering characterization and optimization, but truly great solutions emerge only through the application of talented and creative design. At JAMCO, we effectively combine our talent for design with our skill at engineering to produce elegant and innovative solutions which precisely meet both the functional requirements, and the optimum path to a completed mechanism.

We also believe that to develop great solutions, it is just as important to consider the pragmatic factors which influence the design such as available resources, market characterization and entry strategy, and business development projections or long-term research utilization as it is the proximate functional requirements for the device. Our understanding of the business side of radiography systems development and experience in manufacturing hundreds of scanners, ranging from one-of-a-kind research instruments to high production commercial systems, gives us the expertise to select design concepts and manufacturing techniques, which result in the best possible solution and path to success.
